You can be a voice for the bees
We didn’t have to look far to find the perfect name for our plastic-free, highly effective deodorants. Our backyard meadowscape is an ecological haven full of native plants where milkweed is sacred and pollinators are like pets.
While honey bees get a lot of attention, solitary bees are much better pollinators. One solitary bee does the pollination work equivalent to that of 120 honey bees. Just one solitary bee!
Solitary bees are vital to our food production and they need our help. If you have a yard, here are six easy things you can do that will make a huge difference to the success of all bees.
2% for biodiversity conservation
With the help of our entomologist friends, we were surprised to learn that there are 281 different solitary bee species right here in Vermont.
This inspired us to create different scents based on their names and the thoughts they evoked. Sunflower Sharp Tail (Citrus Blend) and Silver Tail Petal Cutter (Unscented), among other scents, took flight.
2% of the profits from the sale of Meadow Bee Deodorants are given to The Vermont Center for Ecostudies. They are dedicated to research and conservation, training volunteers, educating the public, and producing results that generate sound policies for biodiversity conservation.
